BST, Nikon FE2 and I

Everybody loves an extra hour of daylight, especially when British Summer Time gives such an impressive account of sunlight as it did Sunday 25th March. With conditions bathed in sunlight, set against harsh shadows, the scene was set for some high contrast frames. Wanting to avoid the Sunday crowds, Worth Village in Keighley seemed a perfect location to capture some detail - architectural, no less. Armed with the Nikon FE2, the location is rich with textile industry and is littered with structures from industries past. Spending some of my childhood in the area gave great advantage, as certain areas of interest were being revisited with memories rekindled.

The following images were captured at Dalton Mills, a huge complex that suffered a major fire in 2011. Rather than concentrate on the undamaged parts of the 1869 Grade II listed mill, I felt that the fire ravaged elements illustrate yet another chapter (albeit sad) in the structures long history.
