This is why I love film...

After first shooting film 20 years ago, the past 12 months have seen me getting to know the medium once again. Although a 35mm & Medium Format shooter in terms of gear & experience, analogue still has the power to both entice & mystify: 'Size doesn't matter' they say. Well, up until now I would tend to agree. However, that was until an MPP Micro-Technical 4x5 beast entered my analogue world.

As is clear, the MPP is a thing of beauty. Another point is that it weighs roughly the same as a small child. Clearly not one for street candids.. Currently awaiting a pack of Fomapan100 film, the MPP sits patiently - stoic, solid to the last. Eager to get to grips with the new format, the film holder has been meticulously wiped and cleaned, primed and ready for its maiden shoot..
